The Isle of Arran Candle Company is an artisan home fragrance brand inspired by the rugged beauty, tranquillity, and natural richness of its namesake island. Every product is handcrafted to capture a moment of Arran, and a connection to nature on the island — from stormy seas, Springtime and the heather hills.
When it came to packaging, they wanted every customer’s experience to feel just as thoughtful and evocative as the scents inside and extend the same sensory experience. But there were two distinct goals: creating two different rigid boxes — one for candles and one for reed diffusers — each with its own structure, weight, and purpose, while maintaining a cohesive brand identity and luxurious unboxing experience.
Equally important, the team wanted to work with a local UK packaging partner who could provide close collaboration, shorter lead times, and sustainable production.
The Need
At the start of the project, the Isle of Arran Candle Company outlined two key goals:
